Volvo has announced that it will present the sporty S60 Polestar Concept next week at the Los Angeles Motor Show 2012. It is a one-off already purchased from a U.S. customer. Under the hood there is the 3.0-liter six-cylinder T6 equipped with turbocharger capable of delivering 515 hp at 6,500 rpm and a torque of 575 Nm at 5,500 rpm, combined with all-wheel drive and manual six-speed transmission. All this and also the weight of 1640 kg, allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of over 300 km/h. The chassis of the Volvo S60 Polestar has been widened and lowered and adopts racing suspension. The larger brakes are Brembo. The Polestar is characterized by the adoption of aerodynamic splitter on the front bumper, large air intakes, side skirts, spoiler, air extractor, flared fenders, alloy wheels 19-inch polished.

Si tratta di una one-off già acquistata da un cliente statunitense. Sotto il cofano troviamo il sei cilindri 3.0 litri T6 dotato di sovralimentazione, capace di erogare 515 cv a 6.500 giri e una coppia di 575 Nm a 5.500 giri, abbinato alla trazione integrale e al cambio manuale a sei marce. Tutto ciò, unito anche al peso di 1640 kg, permette un'accelerazione 0-100 km/h in 3,9 secondi e una velocità massima superiore ai 300 km/h. Lo chassis della Volvo S60 Polestar Concept è stato allargato e ribassato e adotta sospensioni racing. I freni maggiorati sono Brembo. La Polestar si distingue per l'adozione di appendici aerodinamiche come lo splitter applicato sul paraurti anteriore, grandi prese d'aria, minigonne laterali, spoiler, estrattore d'aria, parafanghi allargati, cerchi in lega bruniti da 19 pollici.
